| Xanga Friends: Please pray for my Mom. She lives in Arizona and is in very, very poor health. She has pneumonia and congestive heart failure and is being moved from the hospital to hospice this afternoon. Cheryl and I are flying out tomorrow. Please pray for God's will and strength in the days ahead. Mom has been a faithful servant of His for many decades. Now, she may soon see Him face-to-face. | Every now and then I see some new posts on Xanga. I have not been very good at keeping up myself, but it seems Xanga has fallen in favor in recent weeks. Fortunately, I keep up with many of my Xanga friends on other sites, so it's not like I've lost touch with everyone. Please pray for my friend, Emily (MLE). http://www.xanga.com/Schutzhund. She is VERY sick and has been in the Indiana University Medical Center Intensive Care for about a week now. A rare and aggressive Strep virus nearly got the best of her. But, a lot of prayers and some excellent medical care are bring her back to health - very slowly. I know she would appreciate your prayers and good wishes. Congratulations to "Stump." This Sussex Spaniel won Best in Show last night at Westminster Kennel Club. I am always excited when a Spaniel wins! Hope I hear from someone... | | |
| Here's hoping everyone has a Merry Christmas! We will be visiting our grandson, Rex over the weekend. Oh, yeah, his parents too! Then, on to Arkansas and Cheryl's parents for Christmas. We haven't been there in several years, so that should be fun.

| This election day will go down in history as either the election of the first African-American or the first woman to hold office. Right now, 2:30 EST PM, most think the Democrats will win. Don't count on it. Internal polls are showing strong McCain support in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Missouri. This one may NOT be decided early, despite the pollsters and "experts." I predict a very close race.  On better news, I hit a loss of 45 pounds this past weekend. Now, if I can just keep most of that off, I will feel victorious!!  Have a great day! Don't forget to vote! | My projection as of today, October 28, 2008, is Obama wins by carrying at least 35 states. But, as I tell my students, ANYTHING can happen in the next 24 hours. Keep praying for God's will and His purpose to be realized in the life of America. It's getting colder! Can snow be in our immediate future?
